Refund & Cancellation Policy
This policy explains billing, cancellation, and refunds for paid Trikona subscriptions, consistent with the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020. It applies together with the Terms of Service.
1. Plans and prices
| Plan | Price | Trial |
|---|---|---|
| Free | ₹0 | — |
| Professional (India) | INR 999 / month | 14-day free trial |
| Professional (International) | USD 29 / month | 14-day free trial |
| Founding Annual (first 100 accounts) | ₹7,999/yr list ₹9,999/yr | 14-day free trial |
2. The 14-day trial and when you are first charged
Every paid plan opens with a 14-day free trial. The trial starts the day you subscribe. No money is charged during the trial. Your card or UPI registers a recurring-payment instruction (an e-mandate) up front, as required by your bank and the Reserve Bank of India, but the first charge happens only at the end of day 14, at the price shown when you subscribed — unless you cancel before then. Your bank sends a pre-debit notification at least 24 hours before that first charge (and every renewal), and you may decline an individual charge through your bank before it runs.
3. How to cancel before the trial ends
To cancel during the trial and avoid the first charge, email support@trikona.app from your account address, or withdraw the e-mandate directly with your bank (this also stops the charge). Self-serve in-app cancellation is on our roadmap; until it ships, support-initiated cancellation carries the same acknowledgement and resolution commitment as any other request — see Grievance Redressal & Contact.
4. Cancelling after the trial (auto-renewal)
Once the trial converts, paid plans renew automatically at the interval in the table above until you cancel. Cancelling stops all future charges; access continues until the end of the period you already paid for.
5. Refund window after a charge
Because the 14-day trial lets you evaluate Trikona at no cost, a billing period that has already been charged is generally non-refundable, and we do not refund partial or unused time after a renewal — cancelling prevents the next charge. We will refund promptly where a charge was clearly erroneous — a duplicate charge, a charge after a valid cancellation, or a charge for a period the service was materially unavailable due to our fault. Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method within 5–7 business days (subject to your bank), and are processed in line with the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
6. How to request a refund
Email support@trikona.app with your registered email and the charge date/amount. We acknowledge refund requests within 24 hours and resolve them within 15 days.
7. Failed payments
If a renewal charge fails, your bank may retry per its own rules. If payment cannot be collected, your subscription pauses and your account reverts to the Free tier until you resubscribe.
8. Questions and grievances
